In case of what problems should we consult a urologist?

Urology deals with non-internal diseases of the kidneys, diseases of the renal ducts, bladder and urethra. In men, this is accompanied by problems with the testicles, epididymis, prostate and seminal vesicles.

Be sure to see a urologist if you experience the following:

  • urinary complaints, bloody or painful urination
  • frequent, urgent urination stimuli
  • difficulty passing urine or urinary retention
  • lesions, pain in the penis or testicles
  • low back, lower abdominal pain, fever
  • difficulty urinating, drip (incontinence)

Common urological problems, examinations

In addition to the treatment of infections and inflammations, the vast majority of the tests focus on the screening for prostate cancer (PSA) and the diagnosis and treatment of benign prostate enlargement. In younger men, bacterial and abacterial chronic prostatitis are common in most cases, with atypical, often seemingly insignificant, complaints.
