Dental care

Advanced technology, precise tooth-preserving treatments, and exceptional comfort

Dental health is about much more than an attractive smile. Untreated tooth decay, gum inflammation caused by tartar buildup, and hidden sources of infection can affect your overall health. Yet many people still feel anxious about visiting the dentist because of unpleasant past experiences.

At Swiss Clinic, our approach to dental care is built on open, reassuring communication and effective local anesthesia. Our goal is to preserve your natural teeth for as long as possible through advanced restorative treatments and to replace missing teeth with aesthetically pleasing, fully functional restorations made from state-of-the-art materials.

What to know before your dental appointment

Your dental visit takes place at a scheduled appointment time in a calm, comfortable environment. To help us provide the highest standard of care and ensure your appointment goes smoothly, please keep the following recommendations in mind:

What should you know before your appointment?

  • Brush your teeth thoroughly: Please brush your teeth thoroughly as usual before arriving for your appointment. If necessary, you can also use our clinic's restroom facilities to clean your teeth before your examination.
  • Medical history and medications: Please prepare a list of all medications you take regularly. It is particularly important to inform your dentist if you take anticoagulants (blood thinners), are receiving treatment for osteoporosis, or have any known allergies to metals or medications.
  • Eating before local anesthesia: Before a scheduled procedure, such as a filling or tooth extraction, it is advisable to eat a light meal unless instructed otherwise. After local anesthesia, you should avoid eating until the numbness wears off (typically 2–4 hours) to reduce the risk of choking or accidentally biting your lip.

When should you see a dentist?

Dental problems often go unnoticed in their early stages. We recommend scheduling a dental appointment if you experience any of the following symptoms or have these dental care needs:

  • Toothache and sensitivity: Sharp pain triggered by hot, cold, or sweet foods, discomfort when chewing, or spontaneous throbbing tooth pain.
  • Bleeding and inflamed gums: Bleeding while brushing, swollen or red gums, or persistent bad breath, which may be early signs of gum disease (periodontitis).
  • Visible changes to your teeth: Tooth discoloration, chipped tooth edges, visible cavities, or old fillings that have become loose or discolored.
  • Replacing missing teeth: Restoring proper chewing function after the loss of one or more teeth and helping prevent neighboring teeth from shifting out of position.
  • Regular checkups and preventive care: Even if you have no symptoms, a comprehensive dental examination and professional tartar removal are recommended at least once a year.

The orthodontic treatment process

1 Panoramic and cephalometric X-rays
2 Impressions / digital scans
3 Photo documentation and consultation
4 Appliance selection
5 Braces or aligner placement

What orthodontic options are available?

Self-ligating braces

They move teeth using gentle, biologically favorable forces, offering greater comfort than conventional braces. Benefits include shorter overall treatment time, fewer checkup visits, and reduced need for tooth extractions. Also available in clear, tooth-colored aesthetic versions.

Happy Smile clear aligners

One of the most discreet, virtually invisible orthodontic options. Because the trays are removable, eating and oral hygiene remain completely hassle-free. Aligners are custom-planned using 3D digital software; each tray is typically worn for about 2 weeks, 20–22 hours per day.

Long-lasting tooth preservation and a healthy, balanced smile

Modern dental care is all about keeping your natural teeth healthy and strong for as long as possible. Regular checkups help catch cavities and gum disease before they cause pain or bone loss. With advanced materials and precision techniques, you never have to choose between long-term durability and a seamless, natural look.

At our clinic, we don't just patch up individual teeth—we look at how your entire bite and jaw function together. Our dental team works closely across specialties, meaning every step from routine cleanings to restorative crowns and oral surgery is part of a coordinated, transparent treatment plan.

Don't wait for minor issues to turn into severe toothaches. Our experienced dentists provide gentle, compassionate, and completely painless care to keep your smile at its best.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about our dental services and everyday care.

Yes. Your comfort is always our top priority. We use modern, fast-acting local anesthetics, and we can apply a gentle numbing gel before the injection so you barely feel a pinch.

We recommend a professional cleaning every 6 months, or at least once a year. Tartar is hardened plaque that regular brushing can't remove at home. Leaving it untreated can lead to chronic gum inflammation and eventual bone and tooth loss.

A visual check only reveals what is on the surface. A panoramic X-ray shows what's hidden underneath: cavities between teeth, deep root infections, jawbone health, and the position of unerupted wisdom teeth.

Please let us know when booking or when you arrive—you are far from alone, and we understand. Our dentists take things at your pace, explain every step beforehand, and pause the treatment anytime you raise your hand for a break.

A simple filling typically takes 30 to 45 minutes. If the decay is larger or located in a hard-to-reach area, restoring the tooth's natural shape and bite alignment can take around 50 to 60 minutes.
