80% of overweight people are affected by fatty liver
Fatty liver is a typical civilization disease. Originally, we distinguish between alcoholic (AFLD) and non-alcoholic fatty liver (NAFLD), the latter being, as its name suggests, caused by excessive alcohol consumption. Hereinafter, we would like to deal a little more not with this type, but with non-alcoholic fatty liver. This disease affects more than 20% of the population, the proportion in developed western countries can be as high as 40-50%, while in Africa it is less than 10%.
